RRaisonné
Raisonné / Questions
Before you commit

The questions galleries actually ask.

Mostly about leaving the system you already have — what happens to the website, the spreadsheet, the photographs and the years of sales history sitting in the accounts.

01 / Moving across

Bringing a gallery's history with it.

None of it has to be tidy first. The point of the import is that it does not have to be.

Do I have to use the Raisonné website?

No. Pick one of the themes, or use Raisonné as a headless CMS and feed the site you already have — Squarespace, WordPress, custom. Either way the records stay in one place.

Can I import from Squarespace or FileMaker?

Yes. CSV from Squarespace, FMP12 from FileMaker, vCard from a contacts app, XMP metadata from photography. A guided wizard maps your columns and you confirm each one before anything is imported.

How does the artwork-image matching work?

You point us at the photo folder. Likely matches are staged by filename and by gallery or accession number, each with a confidence reading, and shown for review and manual choice before anything is written. Nothing is matched silently.

How long does onboarding take?

Typical galleries are live in two to three weeks. Estates with deep back-catalogues take longer; a reconciliation pass is done with your registrar before launch.

Where is my data held?

Sydney, Australia, with daily off-site backups. A full export is available at any time — the archive is yours, and leaving does not cost you it.

Is the API stable?

Version 1 is committed for 24 months minimum. Breaking changes are versioned — v2, v3 — and the previous version runs in parallel for 12 months.

02 / Plans and billing

What it costs to find out.

The full comparison is on what each plan includes.

Do I need a card to start?

No. The 30-day trial is the full Gallery plan and begins without one. Billing starts when the trial ends and you choose a plan.

How many people can use it?

Two on Studio, ten on Gallery, unlimited on a tailored plan. These are enforced, so it is worth counting the people who will actually need their own sign-in.

What happens if we outgrow a plan?

Changing plan is not a migration — the records, images and history stay where they are. Moving down works the same way, once the gallery is inside the smaller plan's limits.

Can we leave?

Yes, with a full export of the catalogue. The commitment is month to month unless you choose annual billing, which is the cheaper of the two.

Start here

Ask the one that isn't here.

If the question is about your gallery's own situation — an unusual system, a difficult archive, a website you cannot move — that is the useful conversation to have.
